Casual sex sites compared

Is There a Casual Sex Site in Australia?

Yes, and there are eight options to compare. Here is how each one works.

The short answer

Yes. Local Sex Meets is an adult site built for casual sex in Australia. Tinder, Feeld, Fling, AdultFriendFinder, RedHotPie, Locanto and Ashley Madison appear open to Australians too, each in a different way. The table below sets them side by side. Facts checked 18 October 2026.

We read each service’s Australian app-store listing on 18 October 2026 where it has one. For its own pages we used the closest copy we could load: 10 to 17 October 2026 for Fling and AdultFriendFinder (its FAQ as read on 16 October), 5 October for RedHotPie’s home page (its terms were read live) and late 2025 for Locanto. For Ashley Madison we relied on its store listings. We have not tested any of them, and details change, so confirm with the service before you pay. We run Local Sex Meets, so read our row with that in mind.

Pick yours

Five questions that pick the right one

  1. How direct do you want to be?

Local Sex Meets is built for casual sex said up front. Fling’s terms say it may carry adult material from consenting users, and AdultFriendFinder says it treats you like an adult. Tinder’s community guidelines keep sexual content off public profiles but allow it in private chats where everyone is comfortable. Feeld says it is for curious people exploring all kinds of connections, hookups among them.

  2. App, website or both?

Feeld’s own pages, read on 16 October, say browsing profiles needs the app. Tinder, Fling, Locanto and Ashley Madison have apps and websites. RedHotPie has a website and an iPhone app. We found no official AdultFriendFinder app in Australia’s app stores. Local Sex Meets runs in your phone’s browser and can sit on your home screen.

  3. What are you happy to pay?

Tinder, Feeld and RedHotPie each describe their core service as free to use, with paid extras. Fling’s terms say a paid membership is needed to start or read conversations. AdultFriendFinder’s terms say some services carry subscription fees and others use credits. Ashley Madison’s store listing says it is free to download, and Google Play shows in-app purchases. Locanto’s terms, archived in late 2025, call its site essentially free of charge. On Local Sex Meets you start on Classic, VIP and VIP Plus remove the daily message limit, and the pricing page lists every plan.

  4. Who are you meeting?

For couples and groups, Feeld welcomes singles and couples, AdultFriendFinder’s sign-up lists couples and groups, RedHotPie’s terms serve singles, couples and groups, and Local Sex Meets has a Couples interest tag. RedHotPie’s store listing also mentions parties and events.

  5. How much checking do you want?

Tinder offers a Photo Verified badge through its Face Check video selfie, and says Face Check is required for new users in Australia. Feeld has optional photo verification and says new Australian members must verify their age. Fling describes a webcam-based verified badge. Local Sex Meets has an optional ID check that earns a badge and a live video check with a moderator that needs no documents. Treat any badge as one signal, not proof.

Our row, in full

Where Local Sex Meets fits

We run it, so here is the plain version.

Local Sex Meets is for adults who want casual sex and say so up front. Members choose interest tags such as Available This Weekend, Local Only or Private Meets, and the MILF and BBW sections each have their own address.

A mainstream app has the reach. By Apple’s Australian App Store ratings, Tinder is far ahead, with 126,607, while every other iPhone app in the table has fewer than 9,000. Ratings are only a rough guide to size, but if reach matters most to you, start there. If you would rather use a site whose whole purpose is casual meeting, that is what we are for.

  • An optional ID check with a badge, and a live video check with no documents needed.
  • Blocking, reporting and a warning when a chat is pushed to another app.
  • Human support by chat and message at any hour.
  • Opens in your phone’s browser and can sit on your home screen.

Gumtree and Craigslist

Google’s Australian suggestions on 18 October 2026 included ‘gumtree dating australia’, and people also ask whether Craigslist removed personals. Gumtree’s posting rules, last updated in November 2024, prohibit “any type of personal ads, including ads for dating or casual encounters”, and its homepage categories on 18 October 2026 show no dating or personals section. Craigslist closed its personals section in the United States in March 2018, according to CBS News, and the Craigslist Sydney page we read on 18 October 2026 lists no personals heading.

Whichever you choose

Staying safe on any of them

  • Keep the chat on the site or app until you trust the person, because Scamwatch lists moving the chat to another app as a warning sign. The guide to dating scams shows the signs.
  • Meet in public first, tell a friend and arrange your own way home. Meeting for sex safely has the full plan.
  • Never send money, and never send an image you would not want shared. See our safety page for the controls we offer.

Casual sex sites in Australia: your questions

Is there a casual sex site in Australia?

Yes. Local Sex Meets is an adult site built for casual sex, and Tinder, Feeld, Fling, AdultFriendFinder, RedHotPie, Locanto and Ashley Madison all appear open to Australians. They differ in how direct they are, whether they have an app and how they charge, so use the table above to match one to what you want.

Which casual dating site or app should I use in Australia?

It depends on what matters most to you. Tinder has far more Australian App Store ratings than the other apps in the table, Feeld suits open-minded singles and couples, RedHotPie is Australian-owned and lists events and parties, and Local Sex Meets is built for adults who want casual sex and say so. Decide first between app or website, cost, and how direct you want to be.

Can I use a casual sex site without downloading an app?

Yes. Local Sex Meets runs in your phone’s browser and can be added to your home screen. Tinder, Fling, Locanto and Ashley Madison also have websites, and AdultFriendFinder is a website. Feeld says you need the app to browse profiles, and RedHotPie has a website we could not read in full.

Is Gumtree or Craigslist still an option for casual dating in Australia?

No. Gumtree’s posting rules prohibit personal ads, including ads for dating or casual encounters, and Craigslist’s Sydney page showed no personals section on 18 October 2026. The table above covers the eight options we checked.

Do casual sex sites in Australia check your age?

Two say so. Feeld says new Australian members must verify their age, and Local Sex Meets estimates age automatically and adds further checks where the law demands them. Tinder asks new Australian members for a Face Check video selfie, which it describes as confirming you are present and match your photos. The terms of Tinder, Feeld, Fling, AdultFriendFinder and RedHotPie each set 18 as the lowest age.

How much do casual sex sites cost in Australia?

Of the other seven, most let you join and look around before paying, then charge for messaging or extras. Prices change, so each service’s own pages are the place to check. Local Sex Meets shows every plan on its pricing page.
