Staying safe on either
Keep early chats on the site. Scamwatch lists a push to move to WhatsApp or another app, and any reason not to meet or video chat, as warning signs.
Never send money. Scamwatch’s advice is blunt: if they ask you for money, they are probably a scammer, so stop contact straight away and get support.
Meet somewhere public, let a friend know and arrange your own ride home. The guides to meeting for sex safely and dating scams in Australia go deeper, and the safety page lists our protections.
AdultFriendFinder in Australia: your questions
Is Adult Friend Finder available in Australia?
Yes, on its own pages. Australia is in its sign-up country list, its footer gives an Australian 1800 number, and its terms for members here name Queensland law. The footer says it is operated in the US.
Is Adult Friend Finder free?
Sign-up is free, its home page says. Its terms say some services carry subscription fees and others use credits, and an FAQ dated 23 July 2026 describes a single membership level, Premium Gold. We could not confirm what a free account can do.
Is there an Adult Friend Finder app?
We found no official app in the Australian App Store or on Google Play on 18 October 2026. Its site describes a mobile version for phones and tablets. One similarly named Google Play listing comes from a developer the terms do not name.
What is an AdultFriendFinder alternative in Australia?
Local Sex Meets is one alternative for adults in Australia, built around profiles, daily matches and private messages, with an optional ID check and a live video check. For the wider picture, read the guide to casual sex sites in Australia.
Is Adult Friend Finder legitimate?
Its About page says it has operated since 1996, and its footer names the US company behind it. That does not vouch for any single profile, so check each one yourself and keep early chat on the site.
