Locanto Australia: Casual Dating With Daily Matches
Locanto is for ads and we are for matches. Here is what that means for casual dating.

Do you want ads or matches?
Locanto lists ads. Local Sex Meets matches people.
Locanto is a classifieds site where members write their own ads, adult and casual ones included in the copies we read. Local Sex Meets is a dating site where members build profiles, get daily matches and message each other. Choose Locanto if you like reading and posting ads, and us if you want matches nearby.
For casual dating, that is the main difference. On Locanto you write an ad or answer one. Here you build a profile, tick what you are open to and let the daily matches come to you.
Local Sex Meets
A dating site for adults aged 18 or over in Australia, with profiles, daily match suggestions and private messages.
Locanto
Its terms describe a platform where users publish and respond to classified ads. Personals is one section among many.
We looked at Locanto’s Australian App Store and Google Play listings on 18 October 2026. The copies of its terms and safety tips we read date from late 2025, so treat them as Locanto’s words from then. We have tested nothing, and details change, so check Locanto first.
What Locanto does well
App-store numbers
Over 5,000 Australian App Store ratings on 18 October 2026, and over a million Google Play downloads in all countries.
Ads in your own words
You say what you want in your own ad, and you pick which ads to answer.
Local by city
Its Australian site, as copied in November 2025, lists ads by city.

Where Local Sex Meets is different
- Matches come to you: daily suggestions, plus exclusive matches on VIP Plus.
- A username hides your real name and email, and your location shows only as the nearest town or city.
- VIP filters cover city, distance, experience level and what someone is open to.
- A warning flags chats pushed to another app, and a person answers support around the clock. See the features page.
Who each one suits
Locanto suits you if you enjoy writing an ad in your own words, like browsing ads by city and are happy to judge each advertiser yourself.
Local Sex Meets suits you if you want matches without writing an ad, with tags, filters and optional checks to help you decide who to message.
Staying safe on either
Pay nothing in advance
Locanto’s archived tips warn about paying ahead by gift card or bank transfer. The same caution fits any ad or chat.
Keep chat in one place
Stay in the site’s own messages until you trust the person. Scamwatch lists a move to WhatsApp or another app as a warning sign.
Meet in public
Pick a busy spot, tell a friend and plan your own way home. Read meeting for sex safely, dating scams in Australia and the safety page.
